Each year, candidates of the Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) and Master of Fine Art (MFA) degrees in Alfred University’s School of Art & Design, New York State College of Ceramics, showcase their work in a series of culminating exhibitions.
Each year, candidates of the Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) and Master of Fine Art (MFA) degrees in Alfred University’s School of Art & Design, New York State College of Ceramics, showcase their work in a series of culminating exhibitions.
The 2025 MFA Thesis exhibitions will be shown beginning April 5 and will run through May 17. Exhibitions in the Cohen Gallery will be April 5 and 12; remaining exhibitions will be in Robert C. Turner Gallery and Fosdick-Nelson Gallery. Exhibitions are open weekly on Saturdays with receptions from 6-8 p.m. April 5 through May 9 (Friday reception). Galleries will be open and exhibitions on view Saturdays through Tuesdays. Candidates for MFA degrees in Ceramic Art, Sculpture Dimensional Studies, Electronic Integrated Arts, and Painting are featured in a series of culminating exhibitions.
The 2025 BFA exhibitions are scheduled for Saturday, May 10, from 4-8 p.m. at various locations in Harder Hall, the Cohen Center, and Binns-Merrill Hall. In the BFA exhibitions, known as the “Senior Shows,” candidates of the Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) degrees showcase their work in a large, facility-wide exhibition. Studios are transformed into gallery space, and the entire class exhibits their work throughout the School of Art & Design.
The MFA and BFA exhibitions are free and open to the public.
