Andy Brady: Steward of Precision


The exhibition presents over 25 works from the archives of this esteemed Alfred University Professor of Printmaking, Andy Brady (1970-76). Brady was a standard bearer of clear thought transposed into visual mediums through expertise and an exceptional standard of workmanship.

An exhibition of sculpture in various modes by faculty in the Sculpture Dimensional Studies Division at the School of Art and Design including Glass, Light, Foundry, Kinetics, Fibers and Mixed Media.

By exhibiting artworks that engage play from various artists and designers with disparate artistic practices and concerns, Playthings seeks to broaden our understanding of the intersections between art and play; to imagine both as human activities that may have no clear aim or function outside of themselves; that resist contemporary notions of productivity or instrumentality.

MFA Thesis Exhibitions


Candidates for the Spring 2024 MFA degrees in Ceramic Art, Electronic Integrated Arts, Painting, and Sculpture/Dimensional Studies are featured in a series of culminating exhibitions in the Fosdick-Nelson, Robert C. Turner and Cohen Galleries. Thesis shows are open Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday 12-4pm. New shows open each week with a reception from 6-8pm.
