Landfall Press 5 Decades of Printmaking

-

Landfall Press: Five Decades of Printmaking celebrates 50 years of work from one of the country’s most renowned printer-publishers. Landfall is celebrated for its spirit of collaboration, which has led to outstanding innovation and exacting technical standards. While it specializes in lithography, the press has also ventured into etchings, woodcuts, books, and multiples, often pushing the boundaries of what a print can be. The artists, in turn, have enriched this collaborative process with innovative ideas and expressive possibilities from other media, reshaping and invigorating printmaking. Turner Carroll Gallery (Santa Fe) organized this traveling exhibition curated at the Fosdick-Nelson by Miranda Metcalf, former Institute for Electronic Arts (IEA) Director, with assistance from Myles Calvert, current IEA Director.

Fusing together printed materials and textiles, ultraviolet brings to the surface many of the complications around original and technological replica.
