The Special Program for Area High School Students
If you are a qualified junior or senior enrolled in high school in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung or Steuben counties. you may take up to two courses a semester at Alfred University at a cost of $100 per course. Although you are not officially enrolled at AU, you can earn college credits that can either be transferred to another college or university, or applied toward your AU graduation requirements if you decide to enroll at the University. (Participation in this program does not guarantee admission to Alfred University).
You must have permission from your home school to participate in Special Program, and you are only permitted to take a class if it is not filled by matriculated AU students. You must register in person at the Student Service Center, Seidlin Hall, the first day of classes each semester.
