Alfred University has always been considered “Outside of Ordinary.” Not only were we one of the first higher education institutions in the US to admit women to programs whereby they could take courses alongside men, we were the first to admit Native Americans and African Americans.
Who in your student body has been “Outside of Ordinary?” Who has lent a helping hand to those that need it most; had to work in order to help support their family; made a difficult decision to give up something so they could complete their coursework or add something to their resume; been the star athlete and part of theatre and/or chorus; demonstrated who they are as an individual and how they can bring that same inspiration to the Alfred University community?
The Spring 2021 deadline has passed. Please contact the Admissions Office with specific questions.
We offer several opportunities for students to visit campus both in-person and virtually.
We have developed special information packets for school counselors and encourage you to email admissions to request one. Be sure to include 'Counselor Packet Request' in the subject line.
With APEX you'll get funded (yes, funded!) to participate in life-changing educational experiences outside of the classroom.
A community where you can develop a unique perspective through critical independent thinking. It's serious play.
You'll never forget your first year at Alfred University! We'll connect you to outstanding faculty, staff and fellow students and prepare you for a successful first year.
