Undergraduate Students - Financial Aid Deadline 3/15/12
IMPORTANT: MARCH 15, 2012 IS THE DEADLINE FOR FILING THE 2012-13 ALFRED UNIVERSITY FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION AND THE FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA).
If you will be an undergraduate student at AU for the 2012-13 academic year and do not have these documents, please stop by the Financial Aid Office to pick them up. We are located in Alumni Hall and are open 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Store Credit Card
Store cards are credit card accounts that are available on a 24-hour, sign-out basis. Several store credit card accounts have been established for your convenience. They include: Wegman's, Wal-Mart, Sears, and Lowes.
When a department has a need to purchase merchandise from any of the above vendors, an Account Administrator and/or appointed staff may obtain the cards by stopping in Office and Procurement Services located in Greene Hall.
Please note: The card must be returned within a 24-hour period.

Applications for the Student Senate Diversity Director
Applications are now available to become the Student Senate Diversity Director. Use the attached link to complete the application.
The duties of the Student Senate Diversity Director are as follows:
A. To work with student organizations to promote all forms of diversity on campus.
B .To work with Admissions in encouraging a more diverse student body.
C. To use any appropriate measures they see fit to encourage and promote awareness of current diversity issues.
D. To organize and oversee programs which invite and encourage a more unified student body.
E. Serves as a member on the Bias Response team.
All applications are due by Friday, Feb. 17.

It's time to nominate seniors as Alfred University's Marlin Miller Outstanding Senior Woman and Man for the class of 2011.
This award recognizes all-around accomplishment in scholarship (min. GPA 3.2), leadership, and character.

Chemical Management Training
Chemical management training will be offered at Nevins Theater, Powell Campus Center on the following dates and times: Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 from 3:20 - 4:10p.m. and Friday, Feb.y 10, 2012, also from 3:20 - 4:10 p.m.
Subjects covered during this training include proper labeling, Material Safety Data Sheets, chemical storage and segregation, and Satellite Accumulation Area (SAA) management.

Human Powered Vehicle Club
The AU Human Powered Vehicle Club will be meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 630 in Engineering Lab 107(formerly Seidlin annex). Come to be involved in the creation of AU's first custom vehicle, to begin creating your own human powered vehicle, or to learn about human powered vehicles and recumbent bicycles.

Schein-Joseph International Museum of Ceramic Art presents "Eye Candy," a colorful exhibition of selected work from the Glidden, Wesp, and Gloryhole Collections. The exhibition will be on view until March 30, 2012.
