•You may help others the way you were helped as a student. Nearly every Alfred graduate received some assistance from benefactors who came before them and contributed to scholarship funds. Most AU alumni, when they look back on their lives, recognize that they were able to achieve more than they ever dreamed possible because of the education they received at Alfred.

•You may provide for future generations of Alfred University students, while still assuring your resources are distributed to your heirs in accordance with your wishes. Through careful advanced planning, it is possible to divert some of what would go toward paying taxes to Alfred University and assure that your heirs receive what you want to leave to them.

•You may actually increase the income from your resources, while also giving to Alfred University. Because the University is a charity, it is possible for you to give assets to Alfred, yet still receive the income from those assets during your lifetime. You can make a gift using real property, investments, retirement funds, insurance, and many other assets.
