Q. What town do you call home now?
A. Alfred, NY

Q. Have you always lived there?
A. No, I have also lived in: Renssalaer, IN; Williamsport, PA; Oxford, OH; Canton, PA; Indianapolis, IN; Atlanta GA, and Louisville, KY.

Q. What little known fact about A.U. do you like to share most?
A. A.U. is the only school in the U.S. with a B.S. degree in Glass Engineering Science .

Q. What students do you primarily work with?
A. Allegany County, NY

Q. If you were a student today at A.U.: In what activities would you be involved?
A. Intramural Sports, Psi Chi & Psychology Club, Forest People, and Habitat for Humanity.

Q. What is one link on the A.U. web you would encourage "just looking" students to explore?
A. Our admissions web site!: http://www.alfred.edu/admissions

Q. What is your favorite building on the A.U. campus?
A. Alumni Hall

Q. Is there anything else you really want to share?
A. "Unique" is commonplace in the world of college admissions. Many schools can tout small class sizes, engaged faculty, a picturesque campus, and so on. Few schools, however, can promote the qualities mentioned above in the context of a comprehensive university setting. In this context, unique is something the Alfred University community can share with conviction. Alfred University offers small classes taught by highly credentialed faculty (not teaching assistants) with academic offerings ranging across the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, School of Art & Design, College of Business, and Inamori School of Engineering. This learning environment is not commonplace, and is an experience e that truly sets Alfred University apart from other schools across the country.

Q. What town do you call home now?
A. Hornell, NY

Q. Have you always lived there?
A. Always!

Q. What little known fact about A.U. do you like to share most?
A. Some of the sidewalks are heated, and with the Western New York weather, you'll notice it in the winter.

The CDC also helps with finding compatible majors for undecided students. They also help with resume and cover letter writing and mock interviews, and more than I can write here!

Q. What is your favorite building on the A.U. campus?
A. There are really some cool places, but you have to check out the newly renovated Perlman Hall which houses the Study Abroad program and Instructional Technology and Student Equipment Lending offices as well as the Division of Modern Languages.

Education
B.F.A.: Alfred University

Q. What town do you call home now?
A. Alfred has been my home for the past four years, and is a place which provided me with specific goals, as well as the freedom I needed to grow and express myself. I truly had the opportunity to come into my own here.

Q. Have you always lived there?
A. I grew up in Bradford, Pennsylvania--just an hour west of Alfred.

Q. What little known fact about A.U. do you like to share most?
A. Not necessarily little known, but one of my favorite aspects of Alfred University is the fact that students will get to know their professors on a first-name basis and have dinner parties at some of their homes! It is a great community, both on and off campus, to be a part of.

Q. What students do you primarily work with?
A. I work with students from New York State, New Mexico, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Q. If you were a student today at A.U.: In what activities would you be involved?
A. I am a recent graduate, so it was not too long ago that I was involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, loved taking advantage of the entertainment brought to campus, spent time with friends, and of course, worked a great deal in the studio!

Q. What is one link on the A.U. web you would encourage "just looking" students to explore?
A. Check out "Online Journals of A.U. Freshmen", you will see what the A.U. experience was/is like for some of our first-year students!

Q. What is your favorite building on the A.U. campus?
A. Based solely on appearances, I would say the Steinheim, where our Career Development Center is located. Modeled after a German castle, its architecture is beautiful both inside and out. Biased from my personal experience at A.U. however, I love Harder Hall (the home of our School of Art and Design). There is a lot of energy in that building--everyone is engaging in creative conversation and constantly in the process of creating!

Q. If you were a student today at A.U.: In what activities would you be involved?
A. While I was a student at A.U. I was involved in the campus television (AUTV) and radio stations (WALF), and played on the Lacrosse team, so I would really like to do those again. I would also get involved in SIFE, because it would be very interesting to manage a real stock portfolio.

Q. What is one link on the A.U. web you would encourage "just looking" students to explore?
A. I would encourage a student to check out the “What’s to do?” link: http://www.alfred.edu/students/activities/. Here students can find out information about activities and clubs that are on our campus.

Q. What is your favorite building on the A.U. campus?
A. My favorite building on campus is the Powell Campus Center. It holds meeting places for many of the clubs and organizations on campus, the mailroom, and one of two dining halls. I also think it is my favorite because I spent a lot of time in it when I was a student and at times it became a second home for me outside of my residence hall.
