Alfred University publishes two very helpful handbooks for parents. The first, titled "Alfred University Handbook for Parents" includes questions and answers about life at Alfred University. It also includes a campus map, a list of helpful telephone numbers, miscellaneous information about the campus and community and the academic calendar. A pdf version of the Handbook may be accessed by clicking on the underlined words, above. If you would a printed copy mailed to you, email Melody McLay, Director of Summer and Parents Programs, or phone 607.871.2612. The second publication, titled the "Alfred University Parent to Parent Guide" includes the names, addresses and phone numbers of hundreds of parents of current students as well as recent graduates who have volunteered to help new Alfred parents and students by answering questions and listening to concerns. The Guide, which is published by the AU Office of Admissions, also includes a section with answers to questions commonly asked by prospective parents and a list of campus telephone numbers most frequently called. Both handbooks are updated annually. |
