Alumnus to discuss wind resource modeling at next environmental seminar

Bryon Phelps, a modeling specialist at AWS Truewind, LLC, Albany, NY, will discuss “Wind Resource Modeling” during the Oct. 3 Environmental Studies Seminar at Alfred University. The talk will be held at 12:20 p.m. in Roon Lecture Hall, Science Center on campus. The event is open to the public, free of charge.

Phelps is a 2005 graduate of AU, where he obtained his bachelor of arts degree in the environmental studies program. He went on to receive a master’s degree in GIS for Development and Environment from Clark University, Worcester, MA.

The Division of Environmental Studies of Alfred University sponsors the popular seminar series each Friday during the fall semester, except Nov. 28, the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Baked goods and refreshments will be available during the program.
