Geospatial course featured in geographic information systems newsletter 11/04/08
The fall 2008 edition of the NYS Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technology newsletter includes an article about the geospatial technology course taught last spring by Justin Grigg, Alfred University GIS specialist in the Environmental Studies Department, School of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
“Alfred University, Google Earth & and Google SketchUp” briefly describes the course, the GE content produced, and class presentations. The newsletter is available online here: http://www.nysgis.state.n... Assisting Grigg in writing the article was Yaicha Winters, a senior environmental studies and geology major from Greenwich, NY. Grigg obtained a bachelor of arts degree in English literature from Trinity College, and a master’s degree in landscape architecture, regional planning, and GIS from Harvard University. He was recently certified as a GIS professional by the GIS Certification Institute. He holds interest in anything related to GIS technology or geospatial data. |
