AU men’s swimming and diving team cracks top 25 in national polls

ALFRED, NY — The Alfred University men’s swimming and diving team is ranked 25th in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA)/CollegeSwimming.com Division III national polls.

The CSCAA/CollegeSwimming.com dual meet Top 25 polls were released Dec. 29. The national rankings are based on each team's best dual-meet lineup as judged and submitted by participating teams.

AU is the second-ranked team from New York State, with only 18th-ranked New York University positioned ahead of the Saxons. Kenyon (OH) College is the top-ranked team in the nation.

Alfred, the two-time defending Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association (UNYSCSA) champion, is currently 5-0 in dual meets this season (3-0 Empire 8) and has won 26 consecutive dual meets dating back to February 2006. The Saxons are in action next on Friday, Jan. 16, at 1 p.m. at Utica.
