Cornell named research director in University fund-raising division
Anne Cornell is the new director of research and prospect management in the University Relations Division at Alfred University.
In her new post, Cornell will lead efforts to identify and qualify new donors, track and manage existing donors, and oversee the donor visitation activity of gift officers in the division.
Cornell has been employed at Alfred University for the past five years, first in Information Technology Services and subsequently in the Annual Fund Office.
Prior to coming to Alfred University, she worked as a project manager for Bakers of Jericho Hill, as an engineer technician for the Frontier-Kemper/Flatiron Joint Venture, and as a field archaeologist for the Rochester Museum and Science Center.
Stanley Colla, vice president for University Relations, said “Anne brings a personal interest in history and research to her new responsibilities in University Relations.”
Cornell received a bachelor of arts degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo where she majored in anthropology and minored in U.S. history.
