ITHACA, NY — The Alfred University men’s soccer team lost a 3-0 decision at Ithaca College in an Empire 8 Conference contest Saturday afternoon.

Jack Shirley and Jeff Geyer tallied first-half goals for Ithaca (4-2-2, 1-0-0 Empire 8) and Max Grigri netted a second-half score for the Bombers, who outshot Alfred 25-5.

Sophomore Elliot Thorpe (Highlands Ranch, CO/Thunder Ridge) made 11 saves in goal for Alfred (5-3-0, 0-1-0 Empire 8). Justin Parlapiano made three saves to earn the shutout victory for Ithaca.

Alfred is in action next on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 1 p.m. at home against Stevens.
