KEUKA PARK, NY-- The Alfred University women’s soccer team defeated Keuka, 1-0, Tuesday night.

The game winning goal for Alfred was scored by freshman forward Erica Garrett (Fountain Valley, CA/Fountain Valley) 12:35 into the first half.

Keuka outshot Alfred 30-7, but was unable to score. Sophomore goalie Shanna Ewoldt (Tuscon, AZ/Waubansie) made 11 saves in the game to help AU earn the shutout. Ashley Vail made one save in goal for Keuka (3-5).

Alfred (3-5-1, 0-4-0 E8) is in action next on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 12 p.m. against host Stevens.
