UTICA, NY-- The Alfred University women’s soccer team tied SUNY-IT in double overtime, 1-1, Saturday afternoon.

Traci Bicklehaupt scored the lone goal for SUNY-IT on an assist from Cassie Moss 25:38 into the game. Freshman forward Erika Garrett (Fountain Valley, CA/Fountain Valley) netted the game-tying goal for AU on an assist from senior midfielder Amanda Sullivan (Lexington, MA/Lexington) with just under 30 minutes remaining in the second half.

SUNY-IT outshot Alfred 11-8. Sophomore goalie Shanna Ewoldt (Tuscon, AZ/Waubansie) made two saves in goal for Alfred. Cynthia DeLeon had six saves in goal for SUNY-IT (6-6-1).

Alfred (4-6-2, 0-5 E8) is in action next on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 4 p.m. against host RIT.
