Lewis among artists participating in tribute to Emil Kazaz

Joseph S. Lewis III, dean of the School of Art & Design at Alfred University, is among the artists who will be exhibiting their work at an exhibition and tribute to Emil Kazaz, an internationally acclaimed artist at the Agbu Pasadena Center Art Gallery, Pasadena, CA, Nov. 6 – 8.
The event, sponsored by the Armenian General Benevolent Union, “celebrates the artistic genius of Emil Kazaz, winner of the Lorenzo Il Magnifico Prize in Sculpture at the Biennale Internationale Dell’Arte Contemporanea in Florence, Italy, in December 2007.”
Lewis, who has been dean of Alfred University’s School of Art & Design for five years, is one of four visual and performing artists participating in the tribute.

The exhibition will feature sculptures, oil paintings, mixed media and drawings.

The gallery is located at 2495 E. Mountain St., Pasadena. Hours are 7:30-10:30 pm Nov. 6-7, and 2-6 pm Nov. 8.
