Lady Saxons edge RIT, 76-74

ALFRED, NY – A three-point play by junior guard Courtney Lincoln (Waterloo, NY/Waterloo) with 20 seconds left in regulation propelled the Alfred University women’s basketball team to a 76-74 win over visiting RIT Tuesday evening at the McLane Center.

Lincoln’s basket, off a feed from senior forward Hannah Meier (Rochester, NY/Greece Odyssey) came with AU trailing 74-73 and capped a second half that saw the teams trade leads three times in the final minute. A last-second jumper by RIT’s Leslie Havens fell short and AU senior forward Libby Meier (Rochester, NY/Greece Odyssey) secured the rebound as time expired.
