Hillel at Alfred releases schedule for 2010 High Holy Days services, meals

Hillel at Alfred will sponsor 2010 High Holy Days services on the Alfred University campus and at the Temple Beth El in Hornell.

Additionally, Hillel will hold an erev Rosh Hashanah dinner, an erev Yom Kippur dinner, and a Break Fast meal. All dinners will be held at Susan Howell Hall on the Alfred University Campus.
The schedule is as follows:

Rosh Hashanah

Wednesday, Sept. 8 — 5 p.m., dinner at Susan
Howell Hall; 7:15 p.m., services at Temple Beth El. (Those needing transportation should meet at Howell Hall at 6:45 p.m.)

Thursday, Sept. 9 — 8 a.m., morning services, and 7:45 p.m. evening services, both at Temple Beth El. (Those needing transportation should meet at Hillel House, Main Street, at 7:15 a.m. and 6:45 p.m., respectively.)

Friday, Sept. 10 — 8:30 a.m., morning services at Temple Beth El. (Those needing transportation should meet at the Hillel House at 8:15 a.m.)

Yom Kippur

Friday Sept. 17 — 5 p.m., dinner at Howell Hall, and Kol Nidre Services at Temple Beth El at 7 p.m. (Those needing transportation should meet at Howell Hall at 6:30 p.m.)

Saturday Sept. 18 — 8:30 a.m. morning services at Temple Beth El. (Those needing transportation should meet at the Hillel House at 8:15 a.m.)

Concluding services are scheduled for 5 p.m., Nevins Theater, Powell Campus Center, followed by a Break Fast meal at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the Kenyon-Allen Room, Powell Campus Center.
The Break Fast meal is free to members of Hillel and is $10 for non-members. The other dinners are $5 for members and $10 for non-members.

Reservations for the Rosh Hashanah dinner must be made by Monday Sept. 7, and reservations for the Yom Kippur dinner must be made by Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Membership in Hillel at Alfred is open to Alfred University and Alfred State students. Benefits include reduced rates at Sunday brunches, as well as for the Passover Seder and other Hillel activities, including dinners. Cost of memberships is $25 per person. Checks may be made payable to Hillel at Alfred and sent to either Larry or Barbara Greil at the addresses listed above.
