Michael Christakis, AU Class of 1999, assistant vice president for Student Success at the University at Albany (NY), has been named national president of the 300,000-member leadership honor society Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK).

Christakis, an Alfred University trustee,  was elected to serve a two-year term by nearly 300 student, faculty and alumni delegates at the national ODK biennial convention this past summer in Charlotte, N.C.. He was a member of the ODK national board of trustees since 2006.
