Several departments at Alfred University participated in the annual Halloween costume contest on Friday, Oct. 31.
Staff dressed up in themed costumes and also decorated their offices and work areas in a fun celebration of the spooky holiday. Participating offices included: the President’s Office, Human Resources, Student Activities, University Advancement, Registrar, and Libraries.
Alfred University students voted for the contest winners and Alfred University Libraries came out on top with the 2025 "Masters of Disguise" award.
Several offices also participated in handing out candy to area youngsters, including students from the Montessori School in Alfred. And two corgi dogs (Wynnie and Lyra) owned by Susan Morehouse, professor of English, were seen strolling with their master around campus, dressed as bats.
