Lio Bonaccio ’24 has joined RoGallery, a respected gallery and auction house based in Long Island City, Queens.
RoGallery has been a distinctive force in the art world for more than 35 years, operating as a gallery, fine art dealer, and auction house. Founded in the early 1980s by Gail and Robert Rogal, the gallery built its reputation through major acquisitions of print publishing inventories and has since become a trusted source for modern and contemporary artworks in New York City.
In their role at RoGallery, Bonaccio — who graduated from Alfred University in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in art history and theory — manages artwork listings, social media, online inventory organization, and photo editing, contributing to both the digital presence and daily operations of the gallery. The position provides hands-on experience at the intersection of art history, market engagement, and contemporary gallery practice.
A Magna Cum Laude graduate, Bonaccio completed their degree with a strong academic record and interdisciplinary interests spanning photography, printmaking, and writing. Their work reflects a commitment to critical inquiry and creative practice, aligning closely with the professional demands of today’s art world. Bonaccio’s appointment highlights the strength of Alfred University’s Art History program, which prepares students for careers across galleries, auction houses, museums, and cultural institutions through rigorous study and experiential learning.
