Join an in-depth visual narrative-based exploration of how autistic adults and their siblings understand and narrate their complex relationships.
Three sibling pairs make meaning of their relationships and memories through visual artifacts, a mapping activity, and audio recordings. Autistic knowledge, beauty, and perception are voiced in multiple formats. This multivocal approach to qualitative research considers new modes of sensory experience that promote the value that exists in different forms of expression and communication.
The Bergren Forum, sponsored by the Division of Human Studies and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, will take place from 12:10 to 1 p.m. on Thursdays in Nevins Theatre, Powell Campus Center. Bring a brown bag lunch if you wish. Coffee and tea will be provided. For further information, contact John D’Angelo.
