Alumni Spotlight is an electronic newsletter produced by the Alfred University Office of Marketing and Communications and published periodically throughout the year. It aims to shine a spotlight on news and accomplishments of our amazing alumni. Alumni news is included in the Class Notes section of the Alfred alumni magazine, which is published twice a year. Sue Herdman ’63, an artist and photographer, recently donated a collection of photographs and original artwork to the Meskwaki Nation, Sac & Fox Tribe of the Mississippi in Iowa. The works, which depict members of the Sac & Fox Tribe, will be displayed in the Meskwaki Tribal Museum in Tama, Iowa.

Alfred University alumnus Don McPherson ’84 M.S., ’88 PhD, spoke recently at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC, delivering opening remarks at an event to celebrate the museum’s launch of a program to loan EnChroma glasses to color blind visitors.
