Alfred University trip exposes students to German culture

A group of a dozen students and three faculty members from Alfred University took a nine-day trip to Germany in January where they toured automobile plants and art galleries, took a business class with other international students, and immersed themselves in the German culture.

Ceramic Museum opening new exhibit, featuring sculpture of Jack Earl

The Alfred Ceramic Art Museum opens its new exhibition, Bill and Jack and Other Friends, Thursday, Feb. 22. An opening reception will be held from 5 to 8pm the same day. Refreshments will be served, and the public is invited.

Virtual open house offered to provide information on fourth annual AHA! business competition

In the fourth annual AHA! Allegany County Startup Collegiate Competition, scheduled for Saturday, April 6, teams of students from Alfred University and Alfred State College will present their ideas for creating a new business. Winning teams will be awarded cash prizes, which can be uses to put their business plans into action.
