Ayush Sengupta, assistant professor of analytics and J. Henry Smith Chair of Business and Administration in Alfred University’s College of Business, collaborated with an Alfred University student on a paper that has been accepted for publication in the journal, Empirical Economic Letters.

The paper has been accepted for publication in an international journal on economics and finance.
Sengupta and Jyoti Singh Rojariya, a senior pursuing a dual degree in computer science and business administration, co-authored the article, titled “A Model Framework for Automating the Recruitment Process.” Empirical Economic Letters is a monthly international journal which invites papers on all aspects of empirical economics and finance.
The paper has been presented at several Alfred University research forums and external scholarly conferences. The study introduces a novel framework for automating key stages of recruitment by objectively assessing candidate-organizational culture fit, offering insights into how organizations can reduce bias, and improve hiring outcomes.
