As part of the tenth-season celebration of Alfred University’s MostArts Festival, pianist Avery Gagliano will return to perform at the Grand Finale Concert, Saturday, July 18 in Miller Theater.
Gagliano was 14 years old when she claimed the 2015 MostArts Young Pianist Competition Grand Prize. She will perform Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor, with the International MostArts Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Yuval Zaliouk.
Celebrated as “a distinctive young talent” (International Piano), Gagliano is recognized for interpretations with great emotional depth and a “distinctly narrative approach” (Miami International Piano Festival). Having first risen to international acclaim as the winner of the first prize and best concerto prize at the 2020 National Chopin Piano Competition, she has established herself as an artist to watch and has performed in prominent venues including Carnegie Hall, Warsaw Philharmonic Hall, the Louis Vuitton Foundation, Salle Cortot, Luxembourg Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, and Ehrbar Saal in Vienna.
Tickets are on sale at www.alfred.edu/MostArts and at the Alfred University Bookstore.
