In recognition of National Nurses Week 2026, May 6-12, the Alfred University Wellness Center celebrated the dedicated nurses who serve the students in our campus community. Their commitment, compassion, and expertise continue to play a vital role in supporting student wellness, academic success, and the overall health of the student population.
This year’s National Nurses Week theme, “Caring Beyond the Clinic,” reflects the many ways campus nurses contribute not only to healthcare delivery, but also to student support, education, referrals, and response illness and injury.
The nursing staff at the Wellness Center provides a wide range of services to students, including primary care support, mental health referrals, wellness education, immunization compliance, health screenings, and diagnostic testing. Throughout the academic year, the team also collaborates with student experience, athletics, and counseling services to promote a healthier and safer campus environment.
