Episode 7: Experiments with Natural Dyes
This past summer, Ann Rossington combined her interests in gardening and textile dyeing by extracting colorants from flower petals and heartwood. She used these natural dyes to color a variety of fabric swatches, producing a range of hues. This talk outlines the methods used to obtain each dye and the resulting color outcomes.
