About This Event

Episode 13: Art vs. Management: A Balancing Act

"What do you do, exactly?" It’s a question Alfred University Performing Arts Production Manager Randy Wachtel hears constantly. In this presentation, Wachtel explores the delicate balance of maintaining an artistic soul within the structural demands of management. By reflecting on a career where every stage and meeting room served as a classroom, he shares how a lifelong pursuit of art has shaped his approach to work, life, and the creative process.

The Bergren Forum, sponsored by the Division of Human Studies and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, runs from 12:15 to 1:10 p.m. on Thursdays in Nevins Theater in Powell Campus Center and by Zoom. Bring a brown bag lunch if you wish. Coffee and tea will be provided. For further information contact or a calendar invite with the Zoom link, contact John D’Angelo.
