Edmundo Ramirez

Originally from Costa Rica, Edmundo Ramirez performs in concert halls in Asia, Europe, the US and Latin America in venues such as Alice Tully Hall, Bellas Artes in México, the Konzerthaus in Vienna and Berlin, The Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Barbican Center in England. As chamber musician and soloist, include ensemble such as the Fine Arts String Quartet, the Bremen Kammerphilarmonie, the Menninger Hofkapelle Orchestra, Jupiter Symphony, Dorian Baroque Orchestra, Rebel Baroque Orchestra, National Orchestra of Costa Rica, Voronez Philharmonic in Russia, New York Symphonic Ensemble and the Youth Orchestra of the Americas. He was invited by Composer and Conductor Pierre Boulez to perform his work “Le Marteau Sans Maitre” at Carnegie Hall and "Eclat Multiples" in France with Members of the Ensemble Intercontemporaine. Projects collaborations with noted artists Kent Nagano, Mikhail Muntyan, Paquito de Rivera, Saleem Adbud-Askar, Pablo Ziegler and Joe Zawinul among others. In addition, Edmundo also plays the viola d’amore, the baroque violin and viola and the Indian Sitar.
