"From Comfort to Contempt" and "Blue Milk and other stories" MFA Thesis Exhibition

Kate Herron and Gabrielle Egnater will be presenting their MFA Thesis Exhibitions "From Comfort to Contempt" and "Blue Milk and other stories" in the Fosdick Nelson Gallery On View April 22-25 Reception April 22 6-8pm Artist Talks April 25 4:30 - 5:30pm Thesis show hours: Sunday 1-3pm, Monday and Tuesday 11-4pm



Thesis Show by MFA Candidate Sarah Turner. A collection of experimental video works featuring the character glitch_bitch.


Popular Music Ensemble

The Alfred Unv PAD Pop Ensemble will now be holding their final recording / performance concert in the CD Smith Theatre on April 25 from 5-7pm.

Randall Chair Vanessa (Van) Maltese Open Studio

Please join the division of Drawing and Painting on April 28 from 4:30-6:30 in Binns-Merrill Hall 134 (Painting Grad Studios) to celebrate the work of International Randall Chair Van Maltese. This open studio marks the culmination of the Toronto native's residency here at Alfred.


Alfred University Chorus Concert

The Alfred University Music Program in the Performing Arts Division presents a spring choir concert on Friday, April 28 at 7:30pm in Miller Theater. This event is free and open to the public


Alfred University Jazz Ensemble Concert

Alfred University Music Program Presents a spring jazz concert on Saturday, April 29 at 7:30pm in Miller Theatre. Free and open to the public.


Body Like A Thorn

MFA Thesis Exhibition by Victoria Walton. Opening Reception on Saturday, April 29th, 6-8 pm.


MFA Thesis Exhibitions

MFA Thesis exhibitions from the Division of Ceramic Art (CA), Electronic Integrated Arts (EIA) and Sculpture / Dimensional Studies (SDS) are held in the Fosdick-Nelson and Robert C. Turner Galleries weekly from April 8 - May 5, 2023 with receptions on Saturdays from 6-8pm, with the exception of the last exhibition, which will open on Friday. Open Gallery hours during thesis season are Sunday 1-3pm, Monday & Tuesday 11-4pm.


Foundations Exhibition

The annual exhibition of work by first year Foundations students in the School of Art & Design will take place on Saturday, April 29 from 4-6pm in Harder Hall room 225.


Student Recital

Music Program Presents a Music Student Recital. The Performing Arts Division at Alfred University will present a Student Recital on Sunday, April 30th at 3p.m. in Miller Theater. This event is free and open to the public.


Come And Get Your Love

IDEA Lab is an overarching umbrella for cultivating a diverse and inclusive environment providing co-teaching and co-learning experiences as part of an Anti-Racist Program at the School of Arts and Design and Performing Arts Division in Alfred.


Alfred Ceramic Art Museum Spring 2023 Exhibitions

Paul S. Briggs: Knot Stories, The Showcase Exhibition, and Selections: The Archive on view through July 2023. Gallery Hours Tuesday - Sunday 10am-5pm.


Choice: Judith Olson Gregory

Judith Olson Gregory’s layered wall hangings, constructed from tea bags and other delicate fibers, embedded text and layered patterns, reference iconic women and ask poignant, philosophical questions. The exhibition is on view through May 8, 2023. The gallery is open weekdays 11am - 4pm, and weekends 1-3pm.
