Students of Jennifer Gordon, assistant professor of anatomy and physiology at Alfred University, have organized an event offering fun activities for senior citizens from the university and local communities.
The first annual Senior Social will be held Friday, April 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room, first floor of the McLane Center. Students in Gordon’s Physiology of Aging class organized the events and will be running the various stations of activities.
Attendees will rotate through activities that include cup stacking, balloon volleyball, chair yoga, memory matching, charades, and a “human slot machine.” The event is free and open to anyone over 60.
