‘Music Under the Stars’ a night of music, art, community

Music under the Stars, the MostArts Festival tradition celebrating music, art and community, will be held Wednesday, July 15, featuring a special evening of art and music celebration midway through the MostArts Festival week, July 12-18 on the Alfred University campus.

Music under the Stars, a traditional feature of Alfred University’s annual MostArts Festival, will be held Wednesday, July 15 at the Joyce & Walton Center and will feature live music and dancing, plus great food and great vibes.

Visitors will have the opportunity to spend the day exploring the current exhibition at the Alfred Ceramic Art Museum in addition to other art openings around the Village of Alfred, including the Alfred Invitational Market & Art Exhibition on Main Street.

The 2026 Music under the Stars will begin at 6:30 pm at the Joyce & Walton Center, featuring cocktails, gourmet barbecue, live music and dancing. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. with more music and dancing to follow at 8 p.m.

Live music begins with the ever-popular MostArts Brass Quintet followed by the Island Hoppers Steel Band, showcasing the vibrant sounds of the Caribbean. Pianist Jesse Elder and violinist Blanca González then take the mic for a special evening of original compositions and jazz standards.

The 2026 MostArts Festival celebrates its 10th year with evening concerts, guest artists, afternoon chamber music recitals, community events and more.
