Alfred University hosted its Opening Convocation Friday afternoon, welcoming more than 540 new students to campus and marking the beginning of the University’s 188th academic year. Classes for the 2023-24 year begin on Monday, Aug. 28.

Alfred University Professor Linda Sikora is represented in the exhibition ARE WE THERE YET, currently on display at the Ferrin Contemporary gallery, located on the campus of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), in North Adams MA. Sikora is a Professor of Ceramic Art in the School of Art and Design.
