Alfred University departments and divisions may apply to offer Continuing Teacher & Leader Education (CTLE). CTLE activities will expand educators’ content knowledge and the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate instructional strategies and assesses student progress. Approved activities will enhance educators' subject matter expertise, teaching skills, and instructional strategies in line with NYSED standards.
How to Apply
Submit the CTLE Application to the Associate Provost’s Office. Applications must include details about the event, learning objectives, and evaluation methods.
CTLE Activity Focus
Activities should focus on either Content (subject expertise) or Pedagogy (teaching methods).
CTLE Clock Hour Definitions
1 clock hour = 60 minutes for non-credit courses; regular university courses = 15 clock hours per university credit.
Documentation
Activity approval is required before advertising. Access forms and instructions to document CTLE activities. The associate provost’s office will award CTLE certificates post event.
