Upon completion of this program a student is able to:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of the basic ecological underpinnings of our world.
2. Demonstrate an understanding of our social and economic systems and key sustainability challenges.
3. Supplement disciplinary knowledge with the ability to analyze the interdependence of ecological, social, and economic systems.
4. Be able to use technical skills to quantitatively analyze, display, and/or map data.
5. Adequately apply ethical principles and approaches to the analysis of sustainability issues.
6. Combine systems thinking and sustainability concepts to recognize challenges present in their primary field of study and engage with solutions to these challenges.
7. Develop proficiency in information literacy: gather, evaluate, and select reliable information to inform analyses.
8. Make use of effective communications in professional, civic, and community engagement.
