Foster Lake is a lovely, 25-acre wilderness lake atop Jericho Hill, about 5 minutes from Alfred University. Acquired by the University in 2002, Foster Lake is part of a 220-acre site available for academic use by the university and for recreational use by the community.

About this Facility

Recreational activities at the lake include swimming under lifeguard supervision, fishing, bird watching, canoeing and small craft sailing. Recreational trails and picnic areas circle the lake. The adjoining woods are moderate to heavy, thanks to reforestation efforts that began in 1950.
