I'm In! Now What? A Quick Guide for Admitted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to Alfred University! You’ve already achieved something amazing, and we’re thrilled you’re considering joining our Saxon family. Choosing a college can feel overwhelming, so here’s a quick guide to make your next steps easier.

Visit Campus

Seeing Alfred in person is the best way to know if it’s the right fit. Schedule a personalized tour to explore what matters most to you—whether it’s the Science Center, dining options, or meeting faculty.

Visit Us Today

As a bonus, complete a campus visit by March 1 and earn our Visit Grant—$1,000 per year for four years ($4,000 total). Admitted Student Day, athletic visits, or faculty meetings all count!

Can’t Visit in-person? Go Virtual

Take a self-guided virtual tour, watch our intro video, or meet your admissions counselor online. Wherever you are, you can still experience Alfred.

Your Path to Enrollment

Next Steps

After accepting your offer, here’s your quick checklist on next steps. 

  • Pay your enrollment deposit by May 1: This secures your spot in the class!
  • Sign your Financial Responsibility Form: This will be sent to you via your student email.
  • Submit transcripts and test scores: Request that all your records from high school be sent to the Registrar's Office. 
  • Complete your housing application: After March, you will receive an email with information and instructions for housing applications. 
  • File your FAFSA by June 30
  • Accept your financial aid offer: Your financial aid package will be sent via your student email. 
  • Complete all required health forms for incoming students: Contact the Wellness Center if you have questions.
  • Register for Orientation: Information will be sent in the spring and usually will have two possible days to attend
  • Prepare for move-in day: Review the lists of Things to Bring and Items to Leave Home provided by the Office of Residential Communities.
