Mickenna Keller

Mickenna KellerMickenna Keller is currently the oboe II/English horn of the Syracuse Orchestra and Instructor of Oboe at Syracuse University. She has recently performed with the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra, Binghamton Philharmonic, and Viva Bach Peterborough Festival. She received both a Master of Music and Master of Musical Arts degree from the Yale School of Music, studying with Stephen Taylor. At the University of Michigan, Mickenna received a Bachelor of Music, studying under Dr. Nancy Ambrose King. In conjunction with oboe, she completed a minor in History of Art.

Working with arts organizations such as the Yale University Art Gallery as a Wurtele Gallery teacher and the Detroit Civic Youth Ensembles as a mentor, Mickenna works to synthesize her passion for visual and musical art. 

Her chamber groups won the Yale Chamber Music Competition in 2022 and 2023. She has been invited to give performance talks at both the New Haven Chamber Orchestra and John Walsh Lecture Series. In 2025, she studied, interpreted, and performed Diné artist and composer Raven Chacon’s “For Zitkála Ša” at Yale University with the composer in attendance.
