Timothy Keith

After earning his PhD in School Psychology from Duke University, Dr. Timothy Keith began his teaching career, first instructing at the University of Iowa, then at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. From 1993-2001, he taught courses at Alfred University. He has since become a faculty member at the University of Texas, Austin, where he continues to teach.

Dr. Keith’s research queries the validity of how intelligence is measured as well as its nature. He additionally focuses on understanding school learning. His work has been recognized and awarded, and he is considered a leading authority on the use of structural equation modeling and confirmatory factor analysis in school psychology. A Fellow of the American Psychological Association since 1991, he was awarded the senior scientist distinction.
