Wesley Choy’s culinary experience began after high school and persisted throughout his college education. While attending A.U., he worked various culinary positions to help minimize his debt. When he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, he began working in the Buffalo area.
A few years later, he took an 18-month bicycle trip across America. It was on this trek that he decided to become a chef.
Wesley is now the executive chef at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. On January 21, 2018, he was featured on the Travel Channel program, Food Paradise. Prior to his work at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, Wesley also opened a sushi restaurant in Buffalo and owned another restaurant, Pasta Fresh, in Las Vegas.
