A historic building, Alumni Hall, with a tall steeple and banners reading "Admissions" and "Financial Aid" set amidst green lawns and trees under a clear blue sky. Bright and welcoming.

Alumni Hall

White building with a steeple and classical architecture, surrounded by green grass and autumn-colored trees under a clear blue sky. Two people in jackets walk across the lawn toward the entrance, suggesting a cool, sunny day on campus.

About This Facility

On the outside, this Alfred University landmark looks much the same as it did when it was built in 1851, but inside, it has been completely renovated to provide office space for Admissions (undergraduate and graduate), Financial Aid, and the Robert R. McComsey Career Development Center.

Originally used as a chapel, Alumni Hall has also been an auditorium, a classroom (alumni love to tell stories about having Western Civilization classes there at 8 a.m.), laboratory, gymnasium and movie theater.

The building is listed on the National and State Historic Register.
