Valentine's Day 16mm Film Extravaganza

On February 14 at 6pm in Nevins Theater in the Powell Campus Center, James Hansen, Assistant Professor Art History Contemporary Art & New Media Art History & Theory presents a series of short films will be screened.


On February 14 at 6pm in Nevins Theater in the Powell Campus Center, James Hansen, Assistant Professor Art History Contemporary Art & New Media Art History & Theory presents a series of short films will be screened. The Valentine's Day Extravaganza of 16mm experimental short films explore the representational limits of love, sex, and physical connection.

Part One, from 6 - 7:15, features experimental short films by artists Peggy Ahwesh (Color of Love), Stephanie Barber (flower, the boy, the librarian), Nazli Dincel (Her Silent Seaming), and Nathaniel Dorsky (Hours for Jerome, a contemporary silent film selected for the National Film Registry).

Part Two will showcase two films by iconic artist Andy Warhol from 7:30 - 9:00pm. Bring yourself! Bring a date! This will be an unforgettable Valentine's experience!
