The audience will witness how the star points of the Cignus constellation become mapped on the ground and connect with the earth and sky, guided by Bill Gilbert and collaborators.

Choreographer Melanie Aceto and her dancers will join in to transform ordinary objects into animated choreographic potential. They will partner with artists Jonathan Golove, Bill Sack, and Matias Homar to find musical harmony in the unlikeliest of sources.

Making Meaning in an Uncertain World also requires advance registration. Register for this unique event.

This is the first year of the Alfred Summer Arts Festival, designed as a creative incubator for participants to interact with other artists in a masterclass setting. The intention has been to create opportunities to encounter the methodologies of other art practitioners and discover how these methods might inform one’s own work.
