Alfred University Professor of Sculpture Coral Lambert, the winner of the Outstanding Educator Award sponsored by the International Sculpture Center, will be honored Sept. 23 at a ceremony on the Alfred University campus.

Lambert’s sculpture Fallen Sky (Fabricated steel, nickel-plated cast iron) will be unveiled on Academic Alley in front of Binns Merrill Hall. Her Outstanding Educator Award will be presented later at a special ceremony.

The ISC’s Outstanding Educator Award is given annually to honor inspiring, influential artists who have taught sculpture at institutions of higher learning for 15 or more years and have sustained exemplary careers as professional artists. Recipients are valued by students and colleagues as mentors for future generations, recognized nationally and internationally for their significant artistic production, and have made significant contributions to the field.

Alfred University’s School of Art and Design and the Office of University Advancement are hosting the unveiling and award ceremony.
