Afro-Semitic Experience band to perform concert, give drumming workshop

Afro-Semitic Experience—a band that combines an eclectic array of styles, sophisticated musicianship, good songwriting, deep grooves, and years of friendship with a simple message: “Unity in the Community”—will perform a concert on the Alfred University campus on Tuesday, Sept. 20.


ALFRED, NY--Afro-Semitic Experience—a band that combines an eclectic array of styles, sophisticated musicianship, good songwriting, deep grooves, and years of friendship with a simple message: “Unity in the Community”—will perform a concert on the Alfred University campus on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

The concert, made possible by generous support from Hillel at Alfred and the office of the Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences, will be at 7:30 p.m. in Miller Theater.

Earlier in the day on Tuesday, Sept. 20, members of Afro-Semitic Experience will host a drumming workshop from 2:30-4 p.m. in Room 302 of Miller Performing Arts Center. The event is open to all Alfred University students and the greater Alfred community.
