Alfred Theatre Students attend Big Telly play in NYC

Alfred University Theatre students and Visiting Professor of Theater Eliza Beckwith recently attended a performance of "Frankenstein's Monster is Drunk and the Sheep Have all Jumped the Fences" at 59 E. 59th Street Theatre in New York City. The play is produced by Big Telly, a theater company based in Northern Ireland.

Big Telly has been collaborating virtually with Alfred University since 2020. Actor Chris Robinson performed in the production of “Department Story” last spring live via Zoom, and Alfred University’s Theater students enjoyed finally meeting him in person. Alfred University's production of "Department Story" was performed in the former J. C. Penny's store in Hornell, NY.

Following the performance at the 59th Street theater, Alfred University’s Theater students had the pleasure of meeting the Big Telly cast and production team for a question and answer session.
