Alfred University alumna Jennifer McClure ’04 has published a book about blood as a special effect in stage performances.

Bloody Brilliant: How to Develop, Execute, and Clean Up Blood Effects for Live Performance was published by Routledge in April 2022. The book offers methods and techniques for delivering blood as a special effect on the stage.

According to Routledge, “prop managers and builders in professional, educational, and regional theatre are sure to benefit from the tips outlined in this book.”
