MFA student Rose Schreiber receives NCECA fellowship

Rose Schreiber, a graduate student in Alfred University’s School of Art and Design, has been awarded the inaugural Environmental Sustainability Fellowship from the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA).

The purpose of the new NCECA fellowship is to advance environmental sustainability and green practices in ceramics through research, writing, and/or action. The fellowship will support Schreiber’s research and writing contributions to Ceramic Materials Atlas, an environmental humanities project linking global industry, environmental justice, and contemporary ceramics.

Schreiber is expected to receive her MFA in Ceramic Art from Alfred University in 2023.
